Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer vs. NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer |
In today's post I
would like to compare two similar concealers Revolution Pro Full Cover
Camouflage Concealer and NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer. Both concealers are
highly opaque, have similar packaging and a close price. If you want to know
which I think is better I invite you to the rest of the post.
Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer |
Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Concealer
Manufacturer's Description:
A well pigmented
concealer for the face in a comfortable tube.
The product has a
high degree of opacity that hides all skin imperfections.
Concealer covers
redness, discoloration, cracked capillaries, scars.
The product also
allows to cover the tattoo on the skin.
Concealer
provides perfect, long-lasting makeup.
My opinion:
I'll start with
the concealer from Revolution Pro. It has 18 shades to choose from! I’ll
describe my summer shade – C5, but I know that Makeup Revolution has lighter
shades. I already had a concealer in the shade C1 and it had a nice, neutral light
color.
The Full Cover
concealer is really full cover. After I use it my dark circles disappear in a minute.
It has a fairly creamy, dense texture that needs to be powdered in order not to
emphasize the wrinkles. The concealer on my dry skin looks very healthy, its
finish is quite "shiny". I
really like how this product looks on my skin for the first few hours, but
unfortunately after 4-5 hours it starts to looks cakey and very strongly fall
into the wrinkles.
I also tried to
use it as a base for eyeshadows, but unfortunately after a few hours the
shadows looks oily and descend from the eyelids.
The concealer has
8.5 ml and after opening it must be used in 6 months.
Price: Approx. $ 5-8 / 8.5 ml
NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer |
NYX Gotcha Covered Concealer
Manufacturer's
Description:
The ' Gotcha '
Covered Concealer will always hide you! Our concealer now has 10 great shades
and is waterproof. It effectively concees all blemishes and imperfections
without crushing and driping. Thanks to the coconut oil content, our concealer
perfectly spreads and gives the face a healthy look.
My opinion:
The concealer
from Nyx has a little less shades to choose from and unfortunately a worse
choice of colors for darker girls. In turn, it seems to me that shade Alabaster
GCC00 is lighter than the C1 from Revolution Pro. It’s light enough that even
in winter I can brighten with it my under eyes.
The concealer has
a very good opacity and doesn’t dry the skin (even under the eyes). It blends well and just a little bit of it covers
pretty well the imperfections or shadows under the eyes. Likewise, the Revolution
corrector has a creamy, dense texture.
The Nyx concealer
also looks healthy on my skin, however it has a more satin finish from the concealer
from Revolution. This product lasts longer on the skin, but at the end of the
day it no longer looks so fresh and healthy.
As a base for the
shadows, it tones down the eyelid color and maintains the shadows, but I think
that people with oily eyelids won’t like it.
The concealer has
8 ml and after opening it must be used in 12 months.
Price: approx. $
9 / 8 ml

Summary:
Each of the concealers are very efficient and quite opaque. Both products look best applied with a
finger or a sponge. Each of them must be powdered and despite this, aren’t
super long lasting. If I had to choose between them I would have decided on a concealer
from Nyx, which is a little more long lasting on me.
However, none of these products
are that good that I bought it again. I think I’ll use them up. And look for a natural
concealer or buy the next pack of the
Makeup Revolution Fast Base, which has a good opacity and a lighter formula
(but unfortunately it has a much smaller capacity and ends quickly).
What is your favorite
concealer?
Xoxo,
Dorota
