Vegan home-made orange salt scrub - easy DIY

Vegan home-made orange salt scrub - easy DIY

Today I will show you how you can make an orange salt scrub at home.
Salt scrub is firming, cleansing and of course exfoliating.
You can use coarse salt to have a stronger ground scrub or fine salt to make the peeling more delicate.

What salt to choose?

Sea salt - removes dead skin and improves skin circulation.

Himalayan salt - removes dead skin, has antibacterial and cleansing properties.
Pink Himalayan salt is not chemically processed, which preserves its original ingredients.

Epsom salt - removes dead skin, improves circulation and appearance of the skin and soothes irritations.

What you will need:

  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Orange essential oil
  • Scrub container
  • Bowl
  • Spoon

Preparation:

I start making scrub by measuring the right amount of salt and I put in so much salt to fill the jar in which I will store the scrub.
Then I pours salt into the bowl.
I dissolve the coconut oil in a water bath and wait for it to cool down a little.
If you add liquid oil, you can pour it into a bowl of salt immediately.
The oil should be poured in a little while stirring all the time, so that the consistency of the peeling isn’t too watery.
If this happens, don’t worry, you can save everything by adding more salt.
Then I add a few drops of the orange essential oil.
If you want you can add another essential oil, I chose orange because it has brightens and tightens the skin
It is best to use scrub immediately after making it. If you want to prepare more scrub, add a few drops of vitamin e and store it in the fridge for 5-7 days.
If you have sensitive skin, better see if you don’t have an allergy to essential oil and check on a small part of the skin or peeling does not cause you irritation.
And remember to not use salt scrubs on irritated skin.

Do you like salt scrubs or do you prefer sugar? Or maybe you use scrubs bought at the drugstore?
